December Time

IT'S CHRISTMAS, 1ST.
(I asked around, and apparently most people say December, 1st.)

It's time to turn around another page in our calendars and realize that December* has arrived and it didn't come alone. Christmas, family time, fairy lights, traditions, decorations, food, holiday songs and creative gifts are some of the items that December brings along on its red and fluffy backpack. On another month, all of this would be a wild rollercoaster to deal it, but not on December. Oh, no! We love this rollercoaster - we are ready to jump on our seat and we don't mind getting nauseated every once in a while - we will always find neutral ways to make the nausea go away.

A friend of mine once described me to her friend as 'the girl that describes everyone as a Disney character'. I have never realized that was something I did until, on that very same day, I described my teacher as a cute version of Mikey with round glasses. Apparently, describing people as Disney characters is a hobbie of mine, so I decided to make the most of it and think big: If December was a book, a movie, a song and a person, who would it be?

If December was...

... a person, it would be Santa Claus.
... a song, it would be It's Christmas Time.
... a colour, it would be red.
... a feeling, it would be love.
... a holiday, it would be Christmas (duh!).
... a movie, it would be Love Actually or Elf.
... a book, it would be The Little Prince.
... an ornament, it would be a snowflake or a star.
... a place, it would be home.
... a piece of clothing, it would be a sweater.
... a game, it would be Pictionary.
... a sound, it would be ringing bells.
... a season-thing, it would be snow.
... a food, it would be rabanadas.
... an object, it would be a blanket.
... a word, it would be family.
... an animal, it would be a reindeer or a penguin.
... a scent, it would be cookies.

How would you describe December to people?

Always with love. x

* I kept 'misspelling' December with Christmas - it took me a long time to realize what I was really supposed to write. Go figure why (DON'T JUDGE ME!).
